GRADING - APRIL 2010

Grading will take place at Heston on the 24th April, this year we are planning to split the grading into two sessions.

The first session will be from 12:00 till 14:00 for Yellow, Orange & Red belts and then after a 30 minute break at 14:30 grading will take place for those belts up to Brown and 2 White Stripped. Grading for Black belts will take place in October

The next grading for all students will take place on Saturday May 24th at 10am at Heston Sports Hall.
There is a Ladies Only grading taking place on Thursday May 29th at 8pm at Heston Sports Hall.
Students please note that full uniform and protective equipment MUST be worn whilst grading.

CHANGE OF TIMES FOR SATURDAY MORNING HESTON CLASSES 

Due to building works taking place at Heston Community Sports Centre we have been moved back to our old hall so as from Saturday 16th January we will be splitting the Saturday morning kids class into two classes. The two classes will be:-

  09:45 to 10:45 for ages 6 and under

  11:00 to 12:00 for ages 7 and over

FELTHAM WEDNESDAY CLASS

3rd FEBRUARY

I am pleased to announce that the building problems at Feltham have now been sorted out and our Wednesday classes at Feltham are now back to normal starting tomorrow 3rd February at 20:15.

THAILAND

7th to 26th AUGUST 2010

As you are aware Master Lee is constantly re-visiting the many styles of Martial Arts and has been invited to visit in August one of the premier Martial Arts clubs in Thailand where Lee believes that this will be the perfect opportunity to ‘blow away the cobwebs’

If you would like to join Master Lee in Thailand then please let your Instructor know or contact the Club Secretary for further information. This is for the over 18s only.

STAINES SHENTIE TORNAMENT – 13TH DECEMBER 2009

Please note that any student can enter as long as they have pre-registered their height, weight, age and experience. Your opponent will be allocated in advance this will hopefully reduce any mis-matches.

There is a slightly different format, adults and children fight times will be mixed. There will also be an award ceremony for best fighter of the tournament and also a number of achievement awards.

Please ensure that you are registered by 11:15 as first fight will be starting at 11:30. Event finish time 14:50

NEW SUNDAY CLASSES AT HESTON

On Sunday 11th October a new ‘kids only’ class will be starting at Heston. This class will run every Sunday from 09:45 to 10:45.

If you attend both the Saturday and Sunday ‘kids only’ classes at Heston you will only pay £8 for both classes

KATA & FORM CLASS


A class for Kata and Form is being held at Staines Leisure Centre on Sunday 27th September at 08:30am. Any student who wishes to attend may do so at the minimal cost of £3. This is a one off class and is being held to help those students that feel they need a little extra coaching befor their grading.

GRADINGS – 17TH OCTOBER 2009

Please remember to bring your attendance cards to the Gradings for Saturday 17th October that are being held at Heston Community Sports Centre (in Heston School), times are as follows,

12:00 to 13:30 Yellow to Orange belts

13:30 to 15:00 Red and above

However, these are approximate timings so please ensure all students are on site at 12:00. Additional classes have been arranged for student requiring additional preparation for Kata or Forms.

MULTI STYLE SEMINAR – 17TH OCTOBER 2009

This is an event that Master Lee Adam organises to allow Martial Arts instructors to meet and share teaching philosophies and application of systems. Please note, if you are lucky enough to receive an invitation to this annual seminar you must ensure that you arrive on time with all your PPE. Seminar starts at 15:15 to 17:15.


STAINES SUNDAY – 13TH DECEMBER 2009

Please be aware that the Little Dragons class on Sunday 17th will still be running and we have allowed one hour for hall preparation before the tournament starts this will also allow our junior students time to leave the facility and get refreshments or take advantage of the refreshments and facilities at Spelthorne Leisure centre.

Seminar at Bournemouth

Lee was exceptionally pleased with the efforts of all 22 students that attended this year’s seminar at Bournemouth, unfortunately the pictures from the training were lost, however as you can see poolside and night life fun was had by all

2 New Classes Starting for Kids

We have 2 new kids classes starting. One will be starting on Saturday 15th August in Paddington at 09:00 to 10:00 and the other will be starting on Saturday September 5th in Madia Vale from 10:30 to 11:30

Seminar at Bournemouth

Please be aware that all payments for the Bournemouth trip must be paid in full with immediate effect.

We will be meeting at Laleham Abbey at 9:30am on Saturday 8th August ready to leave promptly at 10:00am

To improve the clubs carbon foot print our intention is to car share, all vehicles that are left in Laleham will be behind a secure gated area. 

NEW LADIES CLASS AT STAINES

A new ladies class will be starting on Sunday 12th July at Spelthorne Leisure Centre, starting at 09:45 until 10:30 (45 minutes) . This class will be ladies only and taught by a female instructor.

If your children attend the Little Dragons programme then instead of hanging around until they finish at 10:45 why not join our ladies class, get fit and have fun and then have 15 minutes to refresh and get back into ‘mum’ mode before picking them up or just come along and enjoy the company of other ladies who want to have the confidence to know they are safe to walk the streets and getting fit at the same time
